Profile Aerobars

These are the Profile AirStryke 2000 and the Carbon Stryke Aero Bars. The AirStryke 2000 has spring loaded brackets which allow the top of the bars to be used while climbing. There is length adjustment up to 105mm and it uses the Profile F-19 arm rest system which is padded for comfort. This has 60mm arm length and 20mm of pad with adjustment for custom fit. The fitting system is forged with 6061 T6 aluminium and the system comes in at 620g.

Then there is the Carbon Stryke which is a highly adjustable carbon fibre aero bar and has been the official aerobar of the Ironman Triathlon. It features ergonomically sculptured carbon extensions with 90mm of reach adjustment, in a multi-fit clamp system (31.8 or 26.0 mm diameter base bars) or a wing fit system, giving great adaptability.

There is a multi-fit system using 6061-T6 forged aluminium offset bracket design to allow for variation in mounting widths, and the bar can fit 26.0 and 31.8 mm base bars.

Here are two of the Profile Airwing Aero Bars; the DB Road and the OS. First of all the Airwing DB Road is a lightweight time trial or triathlon bar at a reasonable price, with double butted 6061-T6 aluminium. It has a shallow drop for climbing, shot peened for durability and predrilled for internal cable routing. At 40cm wide it has a weight of 230g.

The Profile Airwing OS Aero Bar is an oversize flat road bar with gentle drop and already set up for internal routing. Its good for time trials or triathlon and the shallowness of the drop makes it useful for out of the saddle riding. The wider stance also improves balance needed for climbing while also keeping in the aero position. Stiffness is increased by the oversize 31.8mm clamping area, so its a good bar for power riders.

The Airwing is sometimes preferred for flatter courses as well. It has a shot peened finish for protection and strength and a weight of approximately 230g.

Here are four Profile Carbon Aerobars. Firstly the Carbon Stryke, which is a highly adjustable carbon fibre bar extension and an official Ironman Triathlon aero bar. Its ergonomic designed extensions have 90mm of reach adjustment and there is infinite adjustment for the hand hold, including shock damping.

The bracket design is an offset multi fit system out of 6061-T6 aluminium and allows for different mounting widths, fitting 26 and 31.8mm base bars. There's an adjustable armrest for comfort and the bar comes in at 548g.

Then there is the Carbon X Aero Wing, which is a complete multi adjustable time trial or triathlon aero bar and extension, designed with top athletes in mind. As you might expect its a lightweight system and anatomically designed, being compatible with Profile quick stop 2 brake levers.

The forged aluminium stem creates a one piece bar which will accept most bar end shifters and the bar is attached with brackets which can mount on top or bottom of the wing. There's a fully adjustable armrest system for a custom fit and 100mm stem with 400mm bar at a weight of 972g.

Next there is the Design Sonic CSX which only weighs 300g and is one of the ultimate lightweight bolt on aero bars. The armrest and top brackets are integrated and are in carbon fibre, with forged aluminium bottom brackets. Position is low, aggressive and narrow and the bar can be adjusted to 3 different lengths, depending on where you clamp them.

Finally we've listed the Design Carbon X, a lightweight carbon aerobar system, anatomically designed and also compatible with Profile Design Quick Stop 2 brake levers. It has a forged aluminium stem with carbon finish to create a one - piece Triathlon or time trial bar in full carbon.

The Profile Century ZB Tribar/Aerobar is an entry-level bar with good value for money, for example for touring riders seeking comfort, and triathlon riders seeking speed in their early competitive days.

Its a one-piece closed-end design in 6061 aluminium which gives strength and durability. The arms are adjustable width for some level of custom fit and the multi fit system allows 31.8mm or 26mm handlebars at a weight of 600g.

Here is the Profile T2 Plus Cobra Aerobar, which comprises separate handlebar and extensions. The extensions are ergo designed with pre drilled for cable routing and use multi layered carbon fibre with an outer diameter of 22.2mm and weight of 132g.

The Cobra Wing Aero base bar has a multi-direction, multi layer carbon fibre construction, pre slotted for internal cable routing. The centre section is wide enough to hold any Profile Design clip on aerobar. Weight is 205 g with a clamp size of 31.8mm.

The Profile Jammer GT Aero Bar is ITU approved for Olympic distance triathlons which require draft-legal Aerobars. The bars are made from aluminium with length, width and rotational adjustment and the pads have independent length, width and axial adjustment. Brackets are suitable for both 26mm and 31.8mm base bars.

This Profile Aerobar is a popular choice on the ITU tour and is a comfortable fast bar for the road.

These Profile T2 Aero bars include the T2+ Tribar, the T2 clip on extensions and the T2 wing base bar.

The Profile T2 Wing Aero Base Bar is a wing shaped bar with centre clamping section which is wide enough for any Profile clip on aerobars. The bar is double butted aluminium and mandrel bent to give correct tolerances and strength, with a shot peened finish and pre drilled for internal cable routing. Weight is 245.

The Profile T2 Plus Clip On Aero Bar Extension is a set up for flat positions using forged strong brackets, aluminium S bend extensions which are adjustable for length, width and rotation. The system fits 26mm and 31.8mm handlebars. The arm can be very low thanks to a J bracket and the arm rests are adjustable for length and rotational movement. Finish is shot peened, matt black at a weight 540g.

As a Tribar, the Profile T2+ Draft Legal Aerobar has shorter extensions than the T2+ and is ideal for a flat position aerobar that is also draft legal. The S bend extensions are good for aggressive triathlon riders and the multi fit system allows use with 26mm and 31.8mm base bars. Forged alloy brackets are strong and light and the extensions are length, width and rotation adjustable and the arm rests are adjustable for length. Finish is shot peened and anodised. Weight is 460g.
